Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries
Simi Valley UMC, a growing suburban church, is seeking a full time Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries. This individual's ministry will emphasize providing leadership, coordination, supervision, and relational care. Working with the staff of SVUMC, the Director will provide for the spiritual and discipleship development of children and youth, as well as, opportunities for fellowship, service, and formation in a multi-generational setting. Director of Youth Ministries at El Segundo UMC
El Segundo UMC is looking for a half-time (20 hours per week) director of youth ministries. This person will design and implement opportunities to promote spiritual growth, build community, and provide a safe, fun environment for middle and high school students (6-12 grades.) He or she will be responsible for connecting the youth and the congregation and community and for reaching out to unchurched youth. A bachelor's degree in a related field is desirable, but experience in working with middle and high school youth is a must. A passion for working with young people, a good sense of humor, and a strong faith commitment is crucial. The director of youth ministries will work closely with the pastor and the education committee. His or her beginning salary will be approximately $20,000 per year with no additional benefits.
